Support Level Supplement (SLS) PTF3141C, the Video Driver Supplement, 
contains all the video drivers that were delivered in SCO UnixWare 2.1.3. 
SLS PTF3141C includes drivers to support video cards based on these chipsets:

New Features
------------

"biosmode" and "textmode" utilities:

"biosmode" is a new utility used by all new video drivers to initialize
various graphics modes.

"textmode" utility can be used to restore text whenever X is abruptly killed.
Usually, the X server restores the text mode, but if for any reason the X 
server is killed, you will see an unreadable screen. You can restore the
screen by typing 'textmode' and pressing <Enter>.

Installation Instructions
-------------------------

1. Download the ptf3141c.Z file to the /tmp directory on your machine.

2. As root, uncompress the file and add the package to your system
   using these commands:

        $ su
        Password: <type your root password>
        # uncompress /tmp/ptf3141c.Z
        # pkgadd -d /tmp/ptf3141c
        # rm /tmp/ptf3141c

3. The release notes displayed prior to installation can be found in
   /var/sadm/pkg/ptf3141/install/ptf3141.txt


Configuration Instructions
--------------------------

To set higher resolution graphics modes, exit the desktop, log in as root
and run one of the following commands:

/usr/X/lib/display/setvideomode -vinfo virge
/usr/X/lib/display/setvideomode -vinfo mach64
/usr/X/lib/display/setvideomode -vinfo s364

in the /usr/X/lib/display/ directory.


Removal Instructions
--------------------

1. As root, remove the package using these commands:

        $ su
        Password: <type your root password>
        # pkgrm ptf3141
