Dear SCO Customer,

The enclosed Support Level Supplement (SLS) PTF3322D, the I2O Mass Storage
Drivers Supplement, supplies the required drivers to add I2O Mass Storage
support to SCO UnixWare.

Note: PTF3322D replaces PTF3322B and may be installed on systems already 
containing PTF3322B.  PTF3322D provides the following enhancements:

- It correctly recognizes and works with I2O devices that have a PCI 
  expansion ROM.

- It will install on SCO UnixWare 2.1.3 systems.

- It includes a number of small fixes involving message sizes.

Note: This supplement provides support for Mass Storage Devices on an
I2O subsystem, after the initial system has been loaded on non-I2O SCSI 
or IDE hard drive subsystems.  SLS PTF3322D does _not_ allow the operating
system to be loaded onto a subsystem using I2O, nor does it provide LAN
support.  This supplement conforms to devices specified in the I2O 1.5 
specification which is available from the I2O Special Interest Group at:

Software Notes and Recommendations
----------------------------------

PTF3322D should only be installed on these releases:

        SCO UnixWare Application Server Release 2.1.0, 2.1.1, 2.1.2, 2.1.3
        SCO UnixWare Personal Edition Release 2.1.0, 2.1.1, 2.1.2, 2.1.3

PTF3322D replaces PTF3322B and may be installed on systems already containing
PTF3322B.


Installation Instructions
-------------------------

1. Download the ptf3322d.Z and ptf3322d.txt files to the /tmp directory
   on your machine.

2. As root, uncompress the file and add the package to your
   system using these commands:

       $ su
       # uncompress /tmp/ptf3322d.Z
       # pkgadd -d /tmp/ptf3322d

3. Reboot the system after installing this SLS.


Removal Instructions
---------------------

1. As root, remove the package using these commands:

       $ su
       # pkgrm ptf3322d

2. Reboot the system after removing this SLS.
