PROBLEM: Where can I find the latest Cyrus update for SCOoffice Mail Server?

SOLUTION: Upgrade cyrus-imapd and cyrus-sasl packages from our FTP archive.

To upgrade you will need to download two files:

I. Software Notes


1. If you are upgrading cyrus-imapd on Caldera Open Linux 3.1.x, you will
   need to install cyrus-sasl2 before installing cyrus-imapd.

2. If you are using SCO Linux 4.0, then cyrus-sasl2 is already
   installed by OMS 2.0.

3. Do not remove the previous cyrus-imapd. This will cause users'
   mailboxes and other state information to be removed.

II. Installation.


1. To install cyrus-sasl2 package, run the command:

      # rpm -i cyrus-sasl2-2.1.9-5.i586.rpm


2. To install the cyrus-imapd package, use the command:

   NOTE: Do not remove the previous cyrus-imapd. This will
         cause users' mailboxes and other state information
         to be removed.

      # rpm -U --force cyrus-imapd-2.1.10-10ol.i586.rpm

III. Changes in this release.

Besides the set of features associated with the newer cyrus release
there are some SCO specific changes as follows:

1. Modified the cyrus configuration so it now supports 5000
   simultaneous user connections to IMAP.

2. The single quote character is now allowed in mailbox names.

3. Removing cyrus-imap no longer removes users' mailboxes.
   If you wish to remove them you must remove the contents
   of the directories /var/imap and /var/spool/imap.

4. Several security patches are included with the new cyrus release.
   The security fixes address ERG #712166 and ERG #712165:

	712166: pre-login buffer overflow in Cyrus IMAP Server.
	712165: Cyrus Sieve / lib Sieve buffer overflows.
