Changes in This Release

Mozilla 1.7.11 is a minor update release that fixes two regressions introduced in Mozilla 1.7.10.

Mozilla 1.7.11 is now supported and may be installed on Unixware 7.1.3 releases. Please take note of and follow the system requirements specified above.

Packaged with the Mozilla browser is the MozPlugger, version 1.7.1, which provides a generic Mozilla plugin that will automatically use available external programs to display additionl mime types. As an example, if xpdf exists in $PATH, Mozilla will display Adobe Acrobat (PDF) files.

The Mozilla 1.7.10 browser, previously released for UnixWare 7.1.4, contained fixes for nine additional security issues resolved by Mozilla.org developers since the release of Mozilla 1.7.8. Check Mozilla.org's Known Vulnerabilities in Mozilla page for details.

The Mozilla 1.7.8a browser, the previous release, contained a fix for Secunia Advisory SA15601 - Mozilla / Mozilla Firefox Frame Injection Vulnerability , published June 6, 2005 (CVE reference: CAN-2004-0718).

The Mozilla 1.7.8 browser, released earlier, represents a significant advancement in features and fixes over the Mozilla 1.2.1 released with UnixWare 7.1.4. It also contains fixes for ten security issues resolved since the 1.7.6 release. Some of the new feature include:

For a detailed list and explanation of features, check out Mozilla.org's Mozilla Suite web-page.
