PROBLEM:   What is the javasoap-1.2a.pkg, the "javasoap - Apache Axis SOAP Web
           Services and Apache Xerces-J XML Parser" for UnixWare 7.1.4 package?

SOLUTION:  This javasoap package updates the "Apache Axis SOAP Web Services and
           Apache Xerces-J XML Parser" package on your UnixWare 7.1.4 System.
           Installing this package version upgrades the SOAP/XML-based web
           services implementation to the Apache Axis 1.2 level.

NOTE:      This package has been recut as of the 1st November 2006 to address 
           problems with installtion on systems with Java 2 Platform Standard 
           Edition 5.0. This newer package can be identified by the PSTAMP 
           2006-11-01. 

Installation
============

The javasoap-1.2a.pkg file is a pkgadd datastream of the "javasoap - Apache
Axis SOAP Web Services and Apache Xerces-J XML Parser" distribution suitable
for installation with the UnixWare 7 pkgadd facility.  There are no other
packages that are required in order to install javasoap-1.2.pkg.

To install the javasoap-1.2a.pkg package:

1.  Log in to your system as root.

2.  Change directory to a temporary work directory.

3.  Download the javasoap-1.2a.pkg file from either the SCO web site or using
    FTP:

       - To use the web site, go to this page:
       http://www.sco.com/support/update/download/release.php?rid=202

       - To use FTP, go to this location:
       ftp://ftp.sco.com/pub/unixware7/714/other/javasoap_1_2/javasoap-1.2a.pkg

4.  If you previously installed the javasoap package, please run

                  pkgrm javasoap

    to remove the earlier version before installing javasoap-1.2a.pkg.

5.  Then install via this command:

        pkgadd -d `pwd`/javasoap-1.2a.pkg

To remove this javasoap package:

1.  The following packages are dependent on javasoap being installed:

        gsoap
        HcSCOUA
        MePrxySCO

     If you have either of these packages installed and want to then remove
     this version of javasoap, you must first remove the above packages.

2.  To remove the javasoap package:

        pkgrm javasoap
