Dear SCO Customer,

Support Level Supplement (SLS) ptf7136a, the JDK 1.1.3 Supplement, 
corrects a known problem with running the Java Development Kit 1.1.3 
on SCO UnixWare 2.1.2.

Java Development Kit 1.1.3 does not correctly process any 2-digit year 
date string representing February 29, 2000, using the date() parse method. 
The expected output is: 

        Tue Feb 29 00:00:00 GMT 2000

but the actual output is: 

        Wed Mar 01 00:00:00 GMT 2000

Software Notes and Recommendations
----------------------------------

SCO ptf7136a should only be installed on:

        SCO UnixWare Application Server Release 2.1.2
        SCO UnixWare Personal Edition Release 2.1.2


Installation Instructions
-------------------------

1. Download the ptf7136a.Z file to the /tmp directory on your machine.

2. As root, uncompress the file and add the SLS package to your system
   using these commands:

        $ su
        Password: <type your root password>
        # uncompress /tmp/ptf7136a.Z
        # pkgadd -d /tmp/ptf7136a
        # rm /tmp/ptf7136a

3. There is no need to reboot the system after installing this SLS package.

The release notes displayed prior to installation can be found in:

        /var/sadm/pkg/ptf7136/install/ptf7136.txt


Removal Instructions
--------------------

1. As root, remove the SLS package using these commands:

        $ su
        Password: <type your root password>
        # pkgrm ptf7136

2. There is no need to reboot the system after removing this SLS package.
