Support Level Supplement (SLS) ptf7673b, the SCO UnixWare 7.1.0 and 
7.1.1 cron supplement, addresses the following problems:

SLS ptf7673a addresses this issue:
Jobs run by at(1) or cron(1) can't handle large files (>2GB)

SLS ptf7673b addresses this issue:
During a switch-over to or from the daylight saving time an interval
of time is skipped or duplicated. This supplement prevents skipping
or duplication of cron jobs during these time intervals.

Software Notes and Recommendations

ptf7673b should only be installed on:

         UnixWare 7.1.0 or 7.1.1

NOTE:  This supplement has been superseded by
the UnixWare 7.1.1 Maintenance Pack for UnixWare 7.1.1 platforms
only.  The UnixWare 7.1.1 Maintenance Pack is available from:

If your system is running any libraries or commands that are
contained in this SLS, these programs will continue to run with 
the old versions of these libraries or commands until the system 
is rebooted.

Note that when all necessary patches have been installed, it is
good to reboot the system at the earliest opportunity.  This will 
ensure that no programs continue to run with the old libraries or 
commands.


Installation Instructions
-------------------------

1. Download the ptf7673b.Z file to the /tmp directory on your machine.


2. As root, uncompress the file and add the package to your system
using these commands:

                 $ su
                 Password: <type your root password>
                 # uncompress /tmp/ptf7673b.Z
                 # pkgadd -d /tmp/ptf7673b
                 # rm /tmp/ptf7673b
 

Alternatively, this SLS package may be installed in quiet mode,
that is, without displaying the release notes and asking for
confirmation.  To do this, use these commands:
 
                 $ su
                 Password: <type your root password>
                 # uncompress /tmp/ptf7673b.Z
                 # pkgadd -qd /tmp/ptf7673b all
                 # rm /tmp/ptf7673b
 
3. Reboot the system after installing this package.
 
The release notes displayed prior to installation can be found in:
 
           /var/sadm/pkg/ptf7673/install/ptf7673.txt
 
 
Removal Instructions
--------------------
 
1. As root, remove the package using these commands:
 
                 $ su
                 Password: <type your root password>
                 # pkgrm ptf7673
  
2. Reboot the system after removing this package.
